Grading Service

Know if it's worth grading — before you pay to grade it

You pay a small per-card fee, we assess and clean each card and tell you exactly what it's likely to grade and what that's worth. Then you decide, card by card.

Grading isn't always worth it — the fee can cost more than the bump in value.

So we flipped the usual order: assess first, decide second. No committing to grading fees on a card that shouldn't be graded.

01

How it works

  1. 1

Send your cards in for assessment

Pick the cards, pay a flat $5 per card assessment fee, and ship them to us. That fee covers the full work-up: condition assessment, a careful pre-grade read, a light clean if it helps, and a value analysis.

  2. 2

    We assess everything

For each card we estimate the likely grade, flag what’s holding it back, and lay out the numbers — raw value vs. graded value, and whether grading actually pays off.

  3. 3

    You get your report

A clear, per-card breakdown. No pressure, no auto-charges.

  4. 4

    You decide — per card

For each card, pick one: grade it (send it to PSA or Beckett), send it back to you raw, or have us sell it (consignment, flat 10%). Mix and match however you want.

  5. 5

    Grade the ones you chose

For cards you’re grading, pick the company (PSA or Beckett) and a service tier — faster tiers cost more. You only pay grading fees now, and only for these cards.

  6. 6

We handle grading and get them back

We ship them to the grader, track the process, and log the results when they return.

  7. 7

    Final call on graded cards

Once a card comes back graded, decide whether to have it shipped to you or have us sell it.

02

What it costs

There are two separate payments, and you only ever pay for what you choose:

01 · Assessment fee

$5 per card, up front

Covers assessment, cleaning, and the value analysis. It's our service fee — separate from grading and not credited toward grading fees.

02 · Grading fees

Only for cards you grade

The grading company's price for the tier you pick (PSA or Beckett; faster = pricier). You see the exact total before you pay.

Shipping

Billed separately and calculated for real. Whenever a card leaves us (out to the grader, or back to you), we work out the actual cost (packaging, transport, insurance) and show it on your dashboard before you're charged. Never a flat guess.

Prefer to sell a card instead? That runs through consignment (flat 10% plus the real selling costs) — see the consignment guide.

Common questions

Why pay before I know if grading is worth it?

That’s exactly the point — the assessment fee is what tells you if it’s worth it. You’re paying for the analysis, not committing to grading.

Is the assessment fee refundable or credited toward grading?

No — it’s a standalone service fee for the assessment work itself.

Do I have to grade everything I send in?

Not at all. After the report, every card is your call — grade, return, or sell, in any mix.

PSA or Beckett — which?

Your report helps you choose. PSA is the most widely recognized; Beckett offers subgrades. Different tiers trade speed for cost.

How is shipping calculated?

Per shipment, at actual cost (box, materials, transport, insurance) — we show you the number and you’ll see it marked paid once settled. We never charge a flat shipping fee.

What happens to a card I want back?

We ship it to you (raw, or graded if it went through grading). Return shipping is calculated the same honest way.
